Romantic Road Trip

 Tom and I decided to get the GPS, and let it lead us. We didn't really have a plan, but we headed to Iowa, where we found a destination for the Field of Dreams movie set in Dyersville, Iowa.

 When we left the Field of Dreams, we headed towards Dubuque, Iowa, and found a winery! We tasted many different flavors, and ended up buying a case of our favorite kind, Spotted Cow!  Luckily, we found a hotel right across the street from the winery.  The hotel staff informed us that there was a karaoke bar just across the street, and that is where we spent the rest of our night!

I went to visit my brother and his family in Nebraska with my parents for a few days.  These are my nieces, Juliet and Joslyn.  Juliet just turned 5 years old!

Steve had his baseball banquet at a local church tonight.  His team voted that he was the most valuable pitcher on the team!

Saying Goodbye to Tobi

This was one of the hardest days yet for this Timbrook family this year.  Since Tom and I are going to Germany in a few days to stay 2 weeks with Tobi and his family, we let Skylar and Steve have some alone time with Tobi at the airport.  You can see the tears and red faces from how emotional it was :(

Steve and Tobi went with white tuxedos for their prom.  They both look very handsome!

My Three Sons

We have a new houseguest named Jake.  I met Jake while I was teaching at a local high school, and he mentioned that he plays rock music and is currently homeless.  I talked to his mother, and did confirm they are living out of the car.  We had no other choice but to allow Jake into our home and stay with us for a month :)  My boys treat him like a brother!

Steve and Tobi Play In Seth Ernst Soccer Slam

Steve and Tobi played in the Seth Ernst Soccer Slam this weekend on a team with 2 other girls, Jade & Kelsey.  They played 5 games throughout the day, and ended up undefeated to win the tournament!  Congrats boys!

Lunch With My WIU Girls

Today is my friend Jami's birthday, so we all decided to meet at Olive Garden to celebrate!  We all brought our significant others so they can finally meet each other!  It was such a great time together, and I look forward to meeting up again really soon.

Steve's Bullet For My Valentine Surprise

About 2 months ago, I wrote a letter to the management of Bullet For My Valentine (Steve's favorite band) explaining how disappointed he was when Tom drove 4 boys to Milwaukee for the concert to find a note on the venue door that the concert had been cancelled.  Today I received this package in the mail from England, which was an autographed band photo and a hand written apology!  Steve was so excited when he saw it!

Avenged Sevenfold Concert

Tom and I took Steve, Tobi, and Cody to see Avenged Sevenfold, Stone Sour, New Medicine, and Hollywood Undead at the IWireless Center.  The boys had a great time and I found how much I enjoy these 4 bands!  Unfortunately, the weather was horrible and we got about a foot of snow that night.  We ended up getting a hotel room at Stoney Creek (one of the last rooms left!).  I'm so glad we planned ahead because there is no way we would have made it home!

Mikey Visits For A Month

Since my parents are in Florida for a month on vacation, Mikey is staying with us.  This is one of his favorite spots to lay in the house.  He is just the cutest pupper dog!

Remembering Jacob Timbrook - 1 Year

A year ago, Tom's son Jacob passed away.  We visited Jake's grave on the one year passing of his death.

Happy 1st Anniversary

Today is our 1 year wedding anniversary!  This was the gift that Tom made for me.  He created a front page news story about how we met, and even included quotes from both of us!  It was such a wonderful surprise, he's such a great hubby!
